The RTD CollegePass for CU Anshutz Students
The CU Anshutz RTD CollegePass provides currently enrolled students access to buses, light rail, Call-n-Ride, and Skyride. Special services like Access-a-Ride or BroncosRide are not included. It helps get you to and from campus and across the city.
Students can take the Flatirons Flyer to Boulder, the light rail to the airport, or use just about any other RTD services with their CollegePass. Find out more about getting to and from campus using RTD, or find out where else RTD can take you using the RTD Trip Planner tool. You can access RTD tools through their Mobile Ticketing App.
How Do I Get My RTD CollegePass?
To pick up your CollegePass, email Badging and Security Services at Security.BadgeOffice@ucdenver.edu or 303-724-0399 with your name and student ID number. They will contact you to set up an appointment to pick up your pass.
Do I Need to Renew My CollegePass?
No. Your CollegePass will continue to work as long as you're enrolled at CU Anschutz. If your pass stops working unexpectedly, contact Badging and Security Services and the issue will be investigated.
I've Transferred to CU Anshutz, Will My Old CollegePass Transfer with Me?
No. Each university is billed separately by the RTD, so you will need to get a new one from CU Anschutz. This applies even if you're transferring from another CU campus.
Can I Replace A Lost or Stolen Pass?
I'm In a Certificate Program, Do I Qualify for a Pass?
In most cases, students in certificate programs are not eligible to participate in the program. The easiest way to tell is to check your bill. If the fee is listed on your bill, then you can opt into the program.
Can I Waive the Pass?
The RTD CollegePass is part of the student fee package all students are required to pay. Some students may be elligible to waive the pass and fee under certain specific circumstances.
To waive, submit an online form before the deadline of a given semester (See below). You must provide the documentation requested under ‘Reason for Requesting Waiver'. Filing a request does not guarantee the waiver will be approved. Requests are reviewed weekly and must be completed every semester. Students will be notified of approval status and waivers will be reflected in student accounts within five business days of confirmation.
This waiver process only applies for CU Anschutz students. If your primary campus is CU Denver, you can't waive through our office. Please reach out to the Auraria ID Station for more information.
