How To Close/Re-open A Protocol

For Full Board and Expedited Protocols:

Closing a Protocol

To close an open protocol, please submit a continuing review submission and outline in your cover letter the reasons you would like to close/re-open the protocol. If the protocol has been closed or expired for a significant amount of time, please contact COMIRB at 303-724-1055.

A link to instructions for how to submit a continuing review can be found in the grey column on the left side of the screen.

Re-opening a Protocol

To re-open a closed protocol, please submit a continuing review submission and include all of the documents included with the initial submission. Also, your study file may need to be retrieved from an offsite facility.
