Criminology and Criminal Justice Research Initiative

The Criminology and Criminal Justice Research Initiative (CCJRI) serves as a resource for public, private and non-profit criminal justice entities that respond to crime and victimization related issues in Colorado.  We work with law enforcement agencies, the courts, corrections, victim advocacy groups and other non-profit and non-governmental entities and universities to provide cutting-edge research and analysis on pressing criminal justice issues.

We provide consultation services and training on best practices and evidence-based research in a variety of areas where improvement in public policy and practice is desired.  Using various research methodologies, we provide analysis of policies, crime patterns and trends, program outcomes, and interactions of victims, offenders, and the general public with the criminal justice system.  Among law enforcement agencies, we offer expertise focused on the improvement of planning and analytical techniques, managing organizational change, and assistance in fostering an organizational culture of intelligence-led and evidence-based management.
