Our Affiliates and Centers


Seven centers are currently affiliated with BIG, although BIG work is not limited to the topics addressed by these centers:

  • The Center for Local Government Research and Training (CLoGRT) provides research, training, and other support to local and regional elected officials and administrators through Colorado and the Rocky Mountain West. (website)

     

    • The Center for Nonprofit Leadership and Research offers a variety of services that help diverse communities effectively solve problems and meet the challenges of change through collaboration. (website)

  • The Center for Education Policy Analysis (CEPA) provides research, evaluation, policy analysis, and staffing support on issues related to education policy from early childhood through higher education. (website)
  • The Center on Reinventing Public Education-Denver (CRPE-Denver), affiliated with the center of the same name at the University of Washington Bothell, conducts research and evaluation on a range of K-12 education reform issues. (website)
  • The Timothy E. Wirth Chair in Environmental and Community Development Policy provides a forum for dialogue and education around sustainable development practices that balance economic, environmental, and social welfare priorities. (website)
  • The Center on Domestic Violence seeks to end domestic violence by fostering institutional and social change through leadership development, education, research, and community collaboration. (website)
  • The Center for Sustainable Urban Infrastructure Systems, a multidisciplinary collaboration located in the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, provides research and education around sustainable infrastructure, as well as an outreach program that helps Colorado communities become leaders in sustainability.   • Workshop on Policy Process Research (WOPPR) brings together faculty and students in studying the interaction between people and public policy. (website)
