mHealth Impact Laboratory

There has been a convergence of attention  across federal agencies focused on the need  for translational research that can widely  disseminate effective, simple-to-adopt health interventions. We have  opportunities to achieve this by generating  support for healthy behaviors within an online  social network, extending clinical care to remote settings, and by tailoring information related to self-care and multiple determinants of health.

Healthy Kids Colorado Survey

The Healthy Kids Colorado Survey (HKCS) periodically collects health information from Colorado public school students. The unified HKCS is sponsored by three state agencies--the Colorado Department of Education, Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, and Office of Behavioral Health--and was designed to improve data quality, accuracy and precision while reducing student-survey requests to schools. The unified HKCS was first administered in fall 2013 to approximately 40,000 randomly selected students from approximately 300 schools.
