Dr. Lee Newman, our director, has researched this one element on the periodic table and its effect on worker health for more than three
decades. Sadly, exposure to beryllium’s dust, even a minuscule amount, is
toxic. Newman's research informed a more protective federal stadard passed by the Occuapational Safety and Health Administration in 2017. Learn more.
