National Center for American Indian and Alaska Native Mental Health Research

The National Center for American Indian and Alaska Native Mental Health Research (NCAIANMHR), a program in the Department of Psychiatry, is one of four minority mental health research Centers.

Native Elder Health Care Resource Center

The Native Elder Health Care Resource Center (NEHCRC), initially funded by the Administration on Aging for a four-year period beginning February 1, 1994, was a national resource center for older American Indians, Alaska Natives, and Native Hawaiians, with special emphasis on culturally competent health care.

Healthy Nations Initiative

The Healthy Nations Initiative was funded by The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to help Native Americans reduce the harm caused by substance abuse in their communities.

Nondegree Students 

Center on Native Elder Health Disparities

This center provided an administrative structure that promoted excellence in research and research capacity-building specific to improving the health and well-being of older adults in American Indian and Alaska Native communities through developing, testing, and disseminating innovative strategies by which to reduce health disparities within this special population.
