Dr. Kathryn Bird, occupational & environmental medicine

“In occupational medicine you learn about injuries related to the workplace, but you also have to learn about numerous types of jobs,” explains Dr. Bird. “Miners, construction workers and welders all have very different jobs and their exposures and injuries are different.”

Residency Programs

The Colorado School of Public Health offers physicians training through two accredited residency programs: General Preventive Medicine and Occupational and Environmental Medicine. Residents can pursue the MPH as part of their training or select the practicum only track.
