Dr. Celia Kaye is a pediatrician and geneticist with a long standing interest in medical education and genetic services. Dr. Kaye joined the faculty of the University of Colorado School of Medicine in 2005. She served as Senior Associate Dean/Education from 2005-2007 and again beginning in October, 2010. Dr. Kaye has served as Medical Director of the Child Health Associate/Physician Assistant Program since December, 2007. Dr. Kaye came to the Health Sciences Center from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where she served as Vice Dean, School of Medicine, from 2001-2005 and Chair, Department of Pediatrics from 1997-2002. Dr. Kaye was Chief of the Division of Pediatric Genetics and Birth Defects in San Antonio from 1989-1997. She is the author of numerous original publications and educational materials.Dr. Kaye is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a Founding Fellow of the American College of Medical Genetics. She is a member of the American Pediatric Society, the Society for Pediatric Research, the American Society of Human Genetics and numerous other professional organizations in pediatrics and genetics. She serves on several advisory boards and committees for national organizations. She currently serves as Project Director of the Mountain States Genetics Regional Collaborative Center, a cooperative agreement with the Genetic Services Branch, Maternal and Child Health Bureau, the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).
