Explore Our Space
The center was created in 1998 and moved to the Anschutz
Medical Campus in 2001.
CAPE is housed in an 18,000-square-foot space inside the Education
I tower. This space includes 15 examination rooms, 3 consult rooms, and 4 high
fidelity simulation rooms that can function as an OR, Emergency Room, hospital
room, ICU, labor and delivery suite and apartment. All rooms have video and
audio recording capability. The high fidelity simulation rooms have two-way
mirrors with adjacent control rooms. We also have 2 classrooms and a central
control room. These can be used to observe any of the simulation spaces during
education and assessment activities. The CAPE space allows us to perform small
and large scale education and assessment activities using standardized patients
and high fidelity mannequins and tools for health profession learners across
the spectrum of training.
