Located in Aurora, CO, the medical school is part of the University of Colorado. Basic science and clinical opportunities can be found throughout metro area hospitals and clinics. Rural health experiences are available around the state.
The medical school is home to approximately 2,300 fulltime and 2,800 volunteer faculty members. In addition to educating students and participating in research, faculty assume considerable responsibility for patient care.
The school sits on Anschutz Medical Campus, the nation's newest health care campus which fosters collaboration among students, researchers and clinicians.
The School of Medicine curriculum is divided into four phases: Essentials Core (Phases I and II), Clinical Care and Advanced Studies. Basic science and clinical opportunities for medical students are located throughout the Denver area in a number of labs, hospitals and clinics.
