Our Vision


To provide innovative and individualized training for the future leaders of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics to excel in their roles as clinicians, researchers, teachers, and community physicians.​ 

Program Aims:  

-Develop leaders in medicine who practice evidence-based medicine and provide cost-effective care for all patients regardless of race, ethnicity, gender or sexual orientation. 

-Train residents who are prepared to address gaps in care related to transition (pediatric to adult care) for kids and adults with complex medical needs 

- Promote and maintain diversity within the training programs and support residents and faculty who identify as underrepresented minorities 

- Provide early mentorship and coaching in the areas of career development and scholarship 

- Create a culture of wellness and resiliency among residents and faculty 

- Deliver a robust longitudinal curriculum with a focus on advocacy, underserved medicine, and public health 

- Emphasize the importance of quality improvement and patient safety in various clinical settings and equip residents with the tools to practice high value care
