Gene Copy Number: The lab is doing Silver In-Situ Hybridization (SISH) in collaboration with Ventana-Roche and doing Fluorescence In-Situ Hybridization (FISH) studies in collaboration with the University of Colorado Cancer Center (UCCC) Cytogenic Core. (Director: Marileila Varella Garcia, Ph.D.).
The lab is also working closely with UCCC Pathology Core (Director: Wilbur Franklin, M.D.) regarding mutation analysis.
MicroRNA assays: Relative quantitative assessment of microRNA expression (individual assay and panel multiplex assays) by taqman qRT-PCR after nucleic acid extraction from fresh frozen tissue and from formalin fixed, paraffin embedded tissue, both from tumor and from small bronchial biopsies.
