Before making an appointment
Please note that most insurance companies require a referral from your primary care physician prior to visiting an inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) specialist.

Making the appointment
To schedule an appointment or speak with a clinic representative, please call 720-848-2777.

Before your appointment
In order to make your visit as efficient and helpful as possible, you will be asked to provide some or all of the following information for review by your doctor before your appointment:
1. Past medical records related to your diagnosis, including recent clinic notes from your gastroenterologist or surgeon, as well as records from any recent hospitalizations at other facilities
2. Your most recent endoscopy reports as well as pathology reports for any biopsies. If you would like us to clarify a possible diagnosis of inflammatory bowel disease, we may ask you to send your biopsy slides for review by our gastrointestinal pathologists.
2. Radiology reports for studies such as X rays, MRI scans, CT scans, and bone scans
The day of the appointment
Please bring any questions for your physician as well as your insurance card and co-pay.
Plan to arrive 15- 20 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to complete the necessary forms. If you arrive late, you may be asked to re-schedule your appointment.
As an academic medical center, we conduct a variety of research studies related to Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. You may be asked to participate in one of our studies, which are often directed at improving our understanding of these diseases and may include trials of new therapies. Please feel free to decline, but we hope that you will consider helping us in our research efforts.

Canceling an Appointment
We appreciate 24 hours notice when canceling an appointment. You may call the main number at 720-848-2777 to cancel.

8 am to 4:30 pm Monday – Friday (Closed for lunch noon-1 pm)

Payment and Insurance
We have health plan coordinators who are available to assist all patients with their insurance-related issues. Questions about payment and insurance can be directed to Patient Account Services at 303-724-5066 or 1-800-298-8682. Telephone hours are 8 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday.
