Addiction Medicine Fellowship
For additional training in the treatment of patients with substance use disorders.
1The Geriatric Medicine Fellowship is managed by the Division of Geriatric Medicine.
The fellowship emphasizes a coordinated and high-quality educational experience, and matriculates clinician-educators, clinical-investigators, and clinicians; many graduates stay at the University or within the Denver community. Fellows have several interdisciplinary opportunities for clinical and research training. We have close partnerships with very strong Divisions of General Internal Medicine (clinical and research interests in palliative medicine and medical education), Health Care Policy and Research (research interests in care transitions), and Department of Family Medicine (rural healthcare.)
2Palliative Medicine Fellowship
For additional training in comprehensive palliative care education and clinical experiences.
3Primary Care Research Fellowship
For training and didactic instruction in research methods, public
health, clinical teaching, and administrative skills, as well as
substantial protected time for research. This fellowship is shared with
other departments and family physicians may apply.
4Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship
For additional training in evaluation and management of sports
medicine problems, exercise, sports injuries, and team physician
experience.
54th Year Fellowship - Clinical Scholars Program
These experiences are targeted at graduates of the University’s Family Medicine Residency Programs at University Hospital and Denver Health, Rose, and Swedish, and are fellowship type experiences for continued education within the context of junior faculty positions in specialized areas of concentration. Past opportunities have included experiences in Policy, Research, Practice Transformation, Public Health, Faculty Development, and Global Health.
