The Department of Family Medicine offers fellowships for primary care physicians who wish to pursue additional training in special areas.
About Our Fellowship Programs
Geriatrics Fellowship
For additional training in a career in academic geriatric medicine and clinical geriatrics.
NOTE: This fellowship is housed in another department and family physicians may apply.
Palliative Medicine Fellowship
For additional training in comprehensive palliative care education and clinical experiences.
Primary Care Psychology Fellowship
Fellows will have the unique opportunity to learn the skills necessary for helping primary care practices change and better accommodate team-based integrated and collaborative care. Fellows will have the opportunity to research the impact of mental health in primary care through current departmental grants and other initiatives.
Primary Care Research Fellowship
For training and didactic instruction in research methods, public health, clinical teaching, and administrative skills, as well as substantial protected time for research. This fellowship is shared with other departments and family physicians may apply.
Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship
For additional training in evaluation and management of sports medicine problems, exercise, sports injuries, and team physician experience.
Rural Medicine Fellowship
For additional training in emergency and trauma care and maternity care for physicians who already are in, or who wish to practice in Colorado's underserverd rural communities.
