Parents Empowering Parents

Peer-to-Peer Skills Training

Parents Empowering Parents (PEP) is a peer-to-peer skills program that introduces parents to the tools they need to handle the realities of raising a child with a bleeding disorder. This weekend program is available to all parents who have a child, aged 18 and younger, with a bleeding disorder. The program is sponsored by an educational grant and is facilitated by the UCHTC social worker, Erin Stang, as well as trained parents from the Hemophilia community.

To date, 42 parents from Colorado, Montana, Wyoming and Nebraska have participated.

Our next PEP will be held Fall 2011.  Stay tuned for more information, or contact the Program Coordinator, Amy Board, at 303-724-2309 or amy.board@ucdenver.edu with any questions.
