Politics pervades our daily lives, for good and ill. It links us all in a web of physical and cultural ecology. We cannot escape the politics of our common social life, but we can choose to take an active or a passive role. If active, our politics may be informed and creative or uninformed and habitual.
The University of Colorado Denver Political Science Department prepares students for informed and creative activism by providing them an opportunity to develop analytical skills. The program incorporates historical, quantitative, experimental, ethnographic, psychological, and creative methodologies while aiming to sensitize students to the essential questions of politics and life. Many of our graduates are community organizers, attorneys or public servants in local, state or federal government.
Undergraduates can pursue a couple of different avenues:
Our master of arts program (on campus traditional MA and off campus intensive weekend format MA with emphasis in politics and public policy) emphasizes building academic and practical skills in key areas of the discipline centering on the major fields of American politics, comparative politics, international relations, political theory and public policy.
Contact the department to find out how to get your own copy, or read the digital version online.
