The College of Liberal Arts & Sciences (CLAS) is the University of Colorado Denver's largest school on the Denver campus. CLAS offers a wide spectrum of degrees at all levels, including:
- 22 baccalaureate degrees, many with optional areas of emphasis designed for today's specialized world;
- 16 master's degrees, with specialized concentrations in most disciplines;
- 4 Ph.D. programs in the Health and Behavioral Sciences, Applied Mathematics, Systems Biology and Clinical Health Psychology.
Add to that the dozens of certificate programs, undergraduate minors, and interdisciplinary programs, and it's not hard to see why we're a bustling place.

The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences provides a diversity of academic pursuits in 22 departments and interdisciplinary units. Each program is unique, but all share in the common the goal of providing excellence in teaching, service, research and creative work.
Seven centers are housed in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Each center has a unique focus; they all provide students and faculty the ability to extend the scholarly and academic work beyond the classroom and into the vibrant, urban community where UC Denver is located.
These cutting-edge initiatives reflect a major development in higher education to engage in research and teaching about contemporary topics by incorporating perspectives from multiple disciplines. This interdisciplinary approach differs from traditional scholarship, which involves a single field of inquiry by seeking to integrate knowledge from related areas of study.
