Master’s in Information Systems Best Bet for Job Prospects

Forbes has ranked a Master’s degree in Information Systems (IS) as the best option for job opportunities.

The MS IS Program is a STEM-designated program, which allows international students to remain in the country and gain work experience through Optional Practical Training (OPT) for an extended period of time. Graduates of STEM-designated programs are allowed to apply for a 24-month extension of their post-completion OPT, provided certain employment conditions have been met.

The MS in Information Systems is STEM designated (CIP Code: 110401)

If you are a CU Denver Undergraduate Information Systems student thinking of applying to our MS Information Systems program and want to bypass the GMAT admission test. If so, you must:

  • Graduated within the last five years or in final semester as a CU Denver Undergraduate Information Systems major
  • Have a 3.25 or higher GPA in completed undergraduate information systems courses
  • When you apply for admission select a semester following completion of your undergraduate degree
  • Send an email to requesting a waiver of the GMAT admission test
