Future Home of the Business School

A transformative hub for education and partnerships

The Business School’s new building in the heart of Denver’s business district will become the hub for all aspects of business education by consolidating programs, faculty and students into one premier downtown location. The state-of-the-art facility is destined to become a powerhouse for collaboration in a community that values education and values business.

A new building has long been part of the Business School’s vision. The Business School’s future home at 1475 Lawrence Street will centralize classrooms, currently dispersed across nine locations. As the anchor point for the educator corridor of the University of Colorado Denver, the new building will become Denver's gateway to higher education.

The facility will house core programs as well as new initiatives—and provide the technology to link them all together. The building renovation, now underway, plans for a variety of spaces to facilitate learning, collaboration and creativity:

  • State-of-the-art classrooms, breakout spaces and labs
  • An event center open to the public
  • A student advising suite
  • A market café, decks with sweeping views of the Front Range and a xeriscaped “green roof” with outdoor seating
  • A dramatic glass-enclosed stairway that will showcase activity within the building

The vision for the building is gaining momentum. It’s energizing. The Business School stands poised for even greater regional collaboration and global recognition.

This is not your typical ivory tower, but a relevant building for a relevant time. It will house a professional school in the heart of the city and, in the process, will capture the heartbeat of Denver.”
