Student Services

The College of Architecture and Planning (CAP) is more than just top notch faculty and programs, it’s also comprised of services that, ultimately, can improve your academic and professional life. Now that may sound like a bold statement, which it is, but it’s also a statement that we stand behind one-hundred percent.

The following pages are focused on your current academic career (labs, workshops, etc) along with your professional career (internships, networking clubs, etc).

Careers

For most, the ultimate impetus for getting an education is to enter into a great career. Not just a job – but a career. One that inspires you. And a day of work never actually seems like a day of ‘work’. In this section you’ll find information on the internship program, a list of companies that provide internships and finally information on the award winning mentorship program.

For over twenty years, Colorado firms and agencies have been providing CAP students with invaluable opportunities to step outside the classroom and apply their intellectual knowledge in a real world context. We feel this exposure to the professional office and practice is integral to your education.

Clubs

Entering CAP, you will find a diverse and stimulating atmosphere. The student clubs and organizations are no different. They are a great way to network and meet your peers, because as they say, sometimes it comes down more to who you know than anything else. Learn more about the three prominent student organizations.

  • AIAS - American Institute of Architecture Students
  • APAS – American Planning Association
  • ASLA - American Society of Landscape Architects
