The campus has two Internet links, one from the Denver Campus and one from the Anschutz Medical Campus. These are monitored continually and can be increased as necessary.
We have commodity Internet, Internet 2 and NLR. The end user cannot tell which one they are using as the campus routers automatically assign the routes.
Most ".com’s" use commodity internet. Most ".edu’s" use I2 and NLR which are higher bandwidth providers. However there are some ".com’s" that pay to be on I2 and/or NLR for strategic reasons.
