The Educational Opportunities
Programs (EOP) has developed the EOP Coach program for the 2014-2015
academic year. Through the EOP Coach program we will work toward EOP
mission to support underrepresented students, through a peer mentor
EOP Coaches will
lead a Crew's (a group of mentees), to develop a sense of belonging within the Crew. EOP Coaches will help organize events for their crew and attend campus
events together. In addition, EOP
Coaches will also be trained to provide individual follow-up for students.
services provided by EOP Coaches:
Encourage and facilitate opportunities for the Crew's to attend and participate in culturally diverse programming and events.
Offer Crew Members information regarding campus resources and student support services.
Organize Crew outings and activities to build rapport among the Crew Members.
Create awareness and visibility of support services and student resources.
Benefits to the Crew:
Crews will be exposed to and gain a better understanding of the available resources, networks, and services to support their personal development, professional development and academic success.
Invitation to an award ceremony to honor their completion of this program.

Crew Member Expectations:
EOP Coaches and Crews will be expected to meet three times a semester.
EOP Coaches and Crew Members will attend events.
Crew Members must attend two skill building workshops and two cultural events each semester
Crew Members will be expected to attend the EOP end of the year award ceremony.
